The lovely Jada Pinkett-Smith is on the cover of Uptown Magazine where she discusses her family life among other things:

Amidst all the controversy over her “Man Down” video, Rihanna gained some praise this weekend from Gabrielle Union, who applauded the pop singer for getting people to talk about rape. Gabby just returned from D.C. earlier in the week where she attended the National Advistory Committee on Violence Against Women meetings.
For those not already aware, Union was raped at gunpoint when she was 19-years-old during the robbery of the California shoe store where she worked. She’s been outspoken about rape since the incident, trying to help other victims and prevent the crime from happening. She shared her thoughts on the “Man Down” video and even explained how she tried shooting her attacker but felt relieved that she missed in retrospect.

Well isn’t this good news for Plaxico “I shot myself in the thigh” Burress:
Former NFL wide receiver Plaxico Burress is expected to leave a New York prison Monday after serving 20 months on a weapons charge stemming from a shooting incident at a nightclub.

Now we feel kind of bad for making fun of Lauryn’s get up in Detroit on Saturday.
During her performance, Ms. Hill made the announcement, without much fanfare, that her brood of baby Marleys is set to grow by one very soon.
And all she said to the crowd was: “I’m going to be taking time off to give birth.”

Obama’s not playin’ with these terrorists. A group of militants got attacked during a meeting … at an apple orchard.
A top al-Qaida commander and possible replacement for Osama bin Laden was killed in an American drone-fired missile strike close to the Afghan border, a fax from the militant group he heads and a Pakistani intelligence official said Saturday.
